Hey there! We are Mountain Weddings – a specialist adventure wedding planning team based in the beautiful and rugged South Island of New Zealand, surrounded by the epic landscapes of Queenstown, Wanaka and Fiordland.
Over the years, we’ve become passionate about bringing together the top local suppliers to make sure our couples have the best day possible. We also love to encourage you to bring your own personal touch to your elopement, after all, it is a celebration of your love and what you love. Whether that’s booking in at the tattoo parlour when we hop off the helicopter or heading down the road for one of New Zealand’s best ice creams – we’re here for it.
Many of our couples tell us that they are mountaineers themselves, or they love hiking and finding beautiful untouched places. Sometimes extended family were meddling so eloping was an escape from the drama, or they just wanted to do something different. Plus…once you see the epic moments and photos that we help create and capture, that’s pretty hard to beat!
So we’re here to help create your dream elopement or intimate wedding in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, a place we’ve always called home. Not only is it a once-in-a-lifetime experience to look out over mountaintops basking in golden sunlight, the world completely still and breath-taking…but we can capture those “wow” shots to help you remember and treasure that moment forever.
